Both Jetix and [adult swim] run many Anime shows. Jetix edits them for violence and lanquage while [adult swim] embraces the violence and the lanquage. What do you think are the positives and negatives of this. And do you just wish theyd give us the raw uncut (but translated lol) pure unadulterated quirky japanese shows.
My Views: Jetix is horrible. Ive seen there edits of Naruto and I i were a kid Id never watch anime again.EVER. Adult swim on the other hand isnt something id let little kids watch...what ever happened to the old days when pokemon and yugioh and DBz were what little kids watchedto get them into anime....
Also I want the uncut versions but i dont think that well see them for a while

Never heard of Jetix however AS does still edit their shows. Bleach had alot of blood in the series and there is hardly any in the edited version. Cowboy Bebop had a naked half woman half man in the series which was completely cut out. As well as the weed symbol and a gay couple sleeping in a bed.
Inu-yasha is also severely sliced apart as for the language. There's alot of cussing in the uncut version.
Outlaw star while it aired no longer on AS anymre but when it was on there also had a whole episode cut due to nudity and many other episodes were shortened and the language was cut down as well.
There's quite a few other shows that hae been edited dramatically but I will not get into details.
I personally think AS is terrible since it shows only main stream anime and those who claim they are true anime lovers only watch AS have no clue what anime is really about. I realize there are a few good animes on AS but that is a narrows view of what some animes are.

I dont watch cowboy bebop and Inuyahsa is much too long for me to get into it. I watch AS but only for convenience of watching a still great anime on my big screen with out having to burn a new dvd...I uh...mean....go...umm...buy it... but i didnt watch bleah because i already saw it from bleach portal

Yeah unfortunately most people don't know that this cutting is going on because their only source for anime is cartoon network and Adult Swim. But yes this is happening and ruins some whole parts of animes entirely.
Outlaw had a whole epsiode cut out for god sake.
So those who were watching were like....Since when did Gene have a #9, #11, #7 caster shell?
I don't remember seeing him get one.
And that's because they cut out a vital episode. Lame... >.<

Great Anime. One of the best I think it has really good characters for a 1996 anime I believe.

Welp, personally, I like [adult swim] much better. I feel like the anime's that are shown on Jetix are a bit kiddy (although I love watching Digimon).
